inclusion powell river is dedicated to creating an inclusive community where everyone feels welcome, particularly those with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Living with a visible or invisible disability can be a challenging and isolating experience -- especially when it comes to finding welcoming and supportive places to build a sense of community.
However, we believe that everyone belongs and deserves to lead a meaningful life. This is why we offer a variety of programs and services to support individuals with developmental disabilities in our community.
Our programs are designed to help individuals develop interpersonal relationships, participate in group exercise classes with like-minded friends, and learn new skills that enhance their quality of life.
All our adult programs are open to individuals in the qathet region, provided they access them within Powell River.
Please note that some of our programs require a Community Living British Columbia (CLBC) referral.
We invite you to explore our programs below and learn more about how we can support you or your loved one with a developmental disability.
