About our Occupational Therapy Program

Our therapist, Michelle Riddle, is a registered occupational therapist with a background working in schools and community settings with children and youth.

Areas of Focus

Fine motor development, sensory integration, self care and activities of daily living skills.

Who We Serve

We offer services to school aged children through the local schools, and to children birth to 6 through the The Cranberry Child Development and Family Resource Centre. Michelle divides her time between the 2 programs.

About Our Physiotherapy Program

Our Therapist – Anneke Gutter is a registered physiotherapist who trained in the Netherlands and has over 20 years experience in various settings.

Areas of Focus

Motor (movement) development, posture and body alignment, physical abilities and play skills, preventing, overcoming or minimizing physical challenges. The program also offers Therapeutic Riding for preschool children.

Who We Serve

We offer services to children from birth to school age at the The Cranberry Child Development and Family Resource Centre. School Age Physiotherapy is offered directly through the schools. Please contact school personnel for more information about this service.

School Age Occupational Therapy

Referrals are made through the schools (all schools in Powell River have access to these services). The program currently has a waitlist so if you are concerned about your child’s development in any of the domains listed above, please be sure to consult with personnel at your child’s school for a referral to our waitlist.

Occupational Therapy for Children Birth to 6 Years

If you are concerned about your child’s fine motor development, sensory integration, self care and activities of daily living skills, call Michelle at 604-483-4042 ext 204. Michelle works part-time so please leave a message if you do not talk with her directly. She will follow up with you as soon as she can.
