Homeshare providers are people in the community who are interested in sharing their lives and home with an adult with a disability.
As a Homeshare provider you provide a safe, caring, and supportive home environment for an individual with a developmental disability.
- Live on your own, with a spouse, or have a family
- Be located in-town, rurally, or on Texada
- Live in an apartment, condo, or house
- Have pets, or not
Mostly, you are interested in building a long-term relationship and including another person in your home and family life.
Sharing your home is a wonderful way to make a positive impact in someone's life - but it's not just a one-way relationship. The mutual benefits can be life-changing.
As a Homeshare provider you are contracted by inclusion Powell river, and receive a monthly stipend.
Our screening process involves a criminal record check and several in-home interviews.
Once you have joined our roster, we will work together to ensure a good Homeshare match, for both you and your family, and for our client. We’ll stay in touch throughout the Homeshare placement to make sure that everyone’s needs are being met, and to provide additional support to you.
